Environmental conflicts in municipality areas: land use policy for zoning regulation.

The growing expansion of socioeconomic activities without considering the potentialities and limitations regarding land use constitutes a potential source deterioration environment. present work aimed to diagnose areas conflict in municipality Batatais-SP. methodological procedure consisted geographic information systems remote sensing techniques. municipal area was regionalized into hydrological response units (HRU). quantitative data area, length drainage network roughness number were determined, processes their interrelationships analyzed. distribution aptitude classes for confronted with current allowed identification quantification conflict. Zoning indicated that, from 452.46 km2 municipality's 28.67% are assigned class 1 risks or severe permanent when used annual crops pastures. At higher spatial levels, influences sustainable development. States grant authority pass ordinances regulations, governments have autonomy control within jurisdictions, if it do not other laws. technique establishes an orderly pattern can serve as tool zoning regulating use.
